VTF Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) course for clients

Brief Summary: Vocational Training Framework have partnered with VERG Ltd to deliver VTF Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) course from 28 Aug. This free two-week course will help participants gain industry-recognised certificates in PAT Testing so they can kick-start own sole trading business.

We are very excited about a NEW addition to our VTF Academy’s offer – PAT Testing course which might be of interest to your service users!

We have partnered with VERG Ltd to deliver VTF Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) course from 28 August.

This free two-week course will help participants gain industry-recognised certificates in PAT Testing, so they can kick-start own sole trading business – a viable opportunity, especially with the increasing emphasis on electrical safety in workplaces and rental properties.

It will also cover preparation for and the CSCS Green Labourer exam to gain access to various Construction sites as part of their future business.

It is an excellent qualification for those looking for flexible hours on a self-employed basis, however employment is also an option.

Please note the Prerequisites section below as it contains important information to help you match the course with your service users’ skills and expectations and to make sure they select the right items on online Application Form.

Time: 09:30 – 16:30 each day

Costs: Free

Prerequisites:  All candidates need to have good communication skills in English, both written and spoken (they must be able to read and understand labels, manuals etc. on electrical equipment); this course is available for Edinburgh residents, 18+, with the Right to Work in the UK; not in employment or full-time education; driving licence is not necessary, but helpful in terms of job opportunities – candidates must be willing to travel to various locations around the city

All applications will be forwarded to the training providers who will contact applicants directly to chat and find out more about their motivations, expectations and to discuss training’s content in more detail. Based on this information they will make final decision on enrolments.
