Capital City Partnership’s Vocational Training Framework have partnered with Direct Partners to deliver another Early Learning and Childcare Academy.

This free 2-week course includes 8 days of vocational training and support, working towards industry recognised certificates and a new career.

It is a great opportunity for successful participants to start meaningful employment.

When: 8th of September 2025
Times: 9.30am – 1.30pm
Costs: Free
Prerequisites: This course is available for Edinburgh residents, aged 16 or over, who are either unemployed or facing in-work poverty and have barriers to employment; good communication skills in English.

What Will Be Covered:

This fully funded training includes:

• 8 days of vocational training and individual mentoring feedback and support sessions.
• Working towards industry recognised certificates: Introduction to Childcare, NQ Process of Play (SCQF5), Play theories and Play spaces, Child Protection, Personal Development (SCQF4) and Communication.
• Meet the employer session with introduction to Early Years and Afterschool Club roles and settings.
