Scottish LGBT+ Gambling Support Group/drop-in

Homelessness prevention charity, Cyrenians, has teamed up with LGBT Health and Wellbeing to launch a gambling support group. The group, based in Edinburgh, is the first of its kind to exist in Scotland.

The group will meet every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month (6.30-7.30pm) online. It is available Scotland wide.

We hope that the group will provide a vital safe space for LGBTQ+ people to seek support for problem gambling.

Our group provides:

– Peer-led support and activities
– Harm reduction and abstinence based support
– A chance to meet people and make connections
– Support for those in recovery from gambling harm
– Further advice and resources

Registration Details:

Prospective group participants are advised to get in contact with our service via email or phone to confirm their attendance. However, as it is a drop-in service – people are welcome to come along between the hour that the group will be running.

Other Information:

All LGBTQ+ people over 16 in Scotland are welcome to join us.

We welcome the entire diversity of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community including non-binary, queer, intersex, asexual people and all identities under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.

We also welcome people who aren’t sure about their sexual orientation/gender identity, or who do not use labels for either.
