Datakirk has launched AIPointr, a national storytelling competition from Proudly Black and Scottish, aimed at placing young people at the centre of the conversation around artificial intelligence.

The competition invites young people aged 18–24 living in Scotland to share how AI is influencing their lives, communities and futures through creative storytelling. Entries may be submitted in a range of formats, including video, audio, visual art, written work or mixed media. No technical or coding experience is required, and submissions are welcomed in any language, including Gaelic, Scots and other community languages spoken across Scotland.

Datakirk is particularly keen for organisations, programmes and services working with young people to share this opportunity with eligible participants, networks and partner organisations. The initiative aims to ensure that young people are not only affected by AI developments but are actively involved in shaping the narrative surrounding them.

The winning entry will receive a £200 prize.

Deadline: 31 August 2026, 11:59pm BST
