What is the New Flexible Workforce Development Fund?
The New Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) is a Scottish Government initiative that provides employers with up to £15,000 towards training costs for eligible employees.
Funding is available for employees earning less than £33,000 per year who are parents or carers of a child under 18, individuals aged under 24, care-experienced individuals aged under 30, or disabled individuals aged under 30. The fund can help your organisation upskill staff, support career development, and address skills gaps through tailored training opportunities. |

Funded Training for Parents and Carers
RISE (Raising Income through Skills and Education) and TAF (Training Access Fund) are Scottish Government-funded programmes delivered as part of the third Tackling Child Poverty Delivery Plan.
Through these fully funded opportunities, eligible parents and carers can access training and qualifications at no cost. Whether you’re looking to enter the workforce, develop new skills, or progress in your current role, these programmes are designed to improve employment prospects, increase household income, and help you achieve your career goals.
