Skills for Success (ESOL)

Brief Summary: Space @ the Broomhouse Hub is excited to announce the next 10-week employability course for ESOL learners to boost their 'Skills for Success'.

Location: Space @ the Broomhouse Hub, 79-89 Broomhouse Crescent, EH11 3RH

Throughout this course, you can increase confidence, gain job skills, and improve English proficiency whilst working toward a professionally recognised qualification (which looks great on a CV!).

We also offer 1:1 appointments with a qualified English tutor. Course participants may choose to access additional support with ESOL or employability needs, including filling out an application form and practicing for interviews.

We have optional weekly outdoor sessions in a community garden, where the learners can put the skills they are learning in the classroom into practise.

This term, we are including a financial wellbeing session, covering topics such as understanding your payslip, credit and debt, budgeting and more!

What Will Be Covered:

This course focusses on improving transferable skills such as confidence, communication, working in a team and dealing with challenges, alongside learning and improving English skills.

Other Information:

Intermediate level of English (B1) required.

If you have a lower level of English, you may still be able to get involved in the garden sessions so please get in touch!
